The city of Windsor completed their Communication strategy to help ensure that residents of Windsor and Essex County know where to find the latest information on vaccines, eligibility, how to find clinic locations and how to make an appointment to get their vaccine. This is a joint program between the Windsor Essex County Health Unit, the City of Windsor, the County of Essex, Windsor Regional Hospital and Erie St. Clair Healthcare. Attached is a news release announcing this partnership.
They launched the WEVax , Covid-19 Vaccination awareness campaign in late March (WE as in the community working together and WE as in Windsor Essex). WEVax.ca directs people to the Windsor Essex County Health Unit’s vaccine information page. However, they realize that not everyone has access to the internet or is comfortable using it.
